Till We Meet Again

Xiao-lun, who is struck dead by lightning, has lost memories of his life. While Xiao-lun is working equally god of love, persons with red strings, with his partner Pinky to reincarnate every bit a homo, Xiao-lun runs into Xiaomi, who was his lover during his life, and recalls his past. call me soft-hearted, but I had lots of fun in the offset human activity. The world-edifice and CGI is quite a spectacle to behold in terms of Taiwanese film standards, merely the plot actually gets messy as we venture on, and the villain should have entirely been left on the cutting room floor.

The first reason is the moving picture is tearjeker and the picture show succeed with it.

看《月老》，就像進到體育課完的國中教室，儘管有年輕的鮮肉可以看，教室的所有硬體設備都很精良，但教室本身發出的惡臭直男味，實在讓人想吐。而且劇中角色還會不時講「小雞雞」等國中屁孩爛笑話，完全讓人笑不出來，尷尬癌爆表。電影「一萬年不變」的愛與堅持，看起來只是噁男的恐怖發言，全片都是需要被男性救贖的女性，看起來只是父權主義作祟。如果沒有寵物情感線，全片真的空有技術，毫無價值可言。

然後馬志翔的男配角獎換成那隻狗嗎，那個角色毫無來由的憤怒，與倉促的收尾，都讓這個反派一點都不立體。雖然大家可能想稱讚特效，但我覺得這個特效沒有一致的美學，也不是為了敘事而做，只是空有華麗外皮。相比之下，比較喜歡《緝魂》的特效。

Tahun 2022 rasanya jadi tahunku melepas birahi rindu ke para batangan kesayangan. Setelah kemarin nontonin Ayushmann Khurrana lewat Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui (2021), sekarang kangen-kangenan sama Kai Ko lewat motion-picture show ini. Aku kadung ngefans sama dia sejak dia principal jadi Ko Ching Teng-nya You Are the Apple of My Heart (2010). Ko Ching Teng idamanku bangeeeeet aaaaaak dia sempurnaaaaa. Baik dari perawakan maupun pembawaan. Muka oriental, mata sipit apalagi kalau senyum, ekspresif, tengil, rada porno tapi nggak kurang ajar, AAAARRRGHHHH. Kalau aku jadi penulis kayak Calvin (Paul Dano)-nya Scarlet Sparks (2012) yang nulis karakter perempuan idamannya yaitu Ruby (Zoe Kazan), udah pasti aku nulis karakter cowok idamanku ya persis kayak Ko Ching Teng.

Nah, Kai Ko di film ini kelakuannya kurang…

Not plenty parts with them existence dear gods and meddling in people's lives. And virtually of what we got was spent on the bike scene. It's not like information technology'due south the whole premise or something…

Anyways, both dynamics Alan-Mi and Alan-Pinky were super fun to sentry. I'd say the good parts def. outweigh sitting through the slow evilmonstercgigorefighting parts – guess it'due south nearly fifty/fifty. But don't mind story or coherence and focus on the characters and style+visuals – Pinky's pink one-half bun is perfection. And Vivian Sung is and so charismatic and always a delight since I've seen her in Taipei Suicide Story. I'd say she stole the show (pic).

A unique romance-one-act film with some horror elements in it. How Giddens Ko makes a story about fate between lovers, reincarnation, karma, and how he connects the world of the living and the earth of the expressionless is brilliant and fresh from how this moving-picture show is written. The cinematography and visual effects for a romantic comedy are amazing and bring this genre to the next level.

Giddens Ko pernah bikin film yang menghangatkan dan dekat seperti You're The Apple tree of My Eyes. Bertahun-tahun kemudian, setelah Apple, filmnya kurang dapat perhatian sampai rilis Till We Meet Again sekaligus dapat all-time pic di Aureate Horse di Taiwan.

Keahlian Ko memang pada meracik dan mengikat penonton pada karakter-karakter yang sabar dia bangun sejak awal durasi. Pada Till Nosotros Meet Once again, kejadian besar, sambaran geluduk yang bikin Xiao Lun tewas justru muncul awal dan kita dekat dengan kedua tokohnya dengan flashback. Xiao Mi sedih. Sahabat Xiao Lun sejak kecil yang juga menyukai Xiao Mi.

Separuh durasi film terasa bak fantasi gelap ringan biasa. Tentang kepergian Lun yang mau melamar Mi. Tentang rasa pasrah dan menerima. Ikhtiar melepaskan. Mengikhlaskan. Dari situ…
Disutradarai oleh Giddens Ko, ekspektasi kami cukup tinggi apalagi mengingat "You Are The Apple of My Eye" adalah film karya beliau. Dan untungnya ekspektasi kami terpenuhi dalam film ini.

Bercerita tentang kisah cinta terlarang antar ii dunia, Giddens Ko berhasil menggambarkan keadaan akhirat dengan cara yang unik namun tidak lepas dari kepercayaan yang ada.

Sebagai film drama fantasi, kami dapat merasakan unsur magis dalam setiap scenenya, namun tidak kehilangan unsur drama yang menghangatkan hati, semuanya dikemas secara apik dengan porsi yang tepat.

Tidak hanya itu jokes2 yang dilontarkan juga menghibur dengan porsinya sendiri. Walaupun ada beberapa jokes slap stick cukup "ngg....🤨" namun masihh tetap menghibur.

Sayangnya, selain beberapa adegan yang masih terasa "cheesy", ada beberapa unsur "horror" dalam film ini…
