Reader Project: 2 Slick Miter Saw Stand Accessories
"I used to cut something at my miter saw stand, and then accept my tape measure and pencil elsewhere in the shop. And so, when I went back to the stand to cut something else, I would forget where I left my tape mensurate and pencil, and I'd accept to go searching for them, which was a hassle. And so, I came up with a couple hacks so that I always accept my tape mensurate and pencil handy at my miter saw station.

And then, when I went back to the stand to cut something else, I would forget where I left my tape mensurate and pencil, and I'd take to go searching for them, which was a hassle. And then, I came up with a couple hacks and then that I ever have my tape measure and pencil handy at my miter saw station. I cut well-nigh half dozen in. of some 2-in.-diameter PVC pipe and put a cap on the terminate, forming a cup. I mounted it to the side of my stand with a pipage bracket. The cup is full of pencils, and I always accept a pencil ready for mark woods. On the opposite side of the stand, I mounted a niggling picture frame hanger as a holder for my tape measure. I simply clip my tape mensurate on to the holder with the clip mounted on the back of the tape measure. Now, information technology's always at mitt and in the same spot, so that I don't have to look around for information technology. These hacks take made my shop time easier and more than enjoyable." — Steve

A simple picture show frame hanger was mounted on the stand to hold a measuring tape.
A PVC pipe was used for convenient pencil storage.
